Chak Jawana highlights the problems faced by the youth of a village in Punjab. A group of young men become directionless after falling prey to the evil of drugs. This vice makes them irresponsible and affects the peaceful environment of their village. The helpless elders worry about the future of their community.

In this atmosphere of despair, Captain Gurjeet Singh (Gurdas Maan) arrives home on a month's leave from the Indian Navy. Disappointed with the situation prevailing in his village, he pledges to reform the undisciplined young men. He carries a powerful social message of discipline, family values, determination and hope. But can he save the young men from themselves? Can he battle the mindset and prevailing forces?

This story is about the triumph of faith and love, and the return to values we cherish.
